Good morning everyone,
I haven't given up again, just been busy this week! How is everyone doing?
Boston and Annie - I hope you were able to take control of your eating yesterday. It is just so hard, and I certainly understand the depression aspect of it. One day at a time, that is all any of us can really do. I have to believe that.
Hi Karrie - Sorry to hear you are having a time of it lately. I have to say, since reading the serenity prayer everyday, my negativity seems to be easing up. I can't control everything so I might as well accept it for what it is. But the things I can change, I need to start working on. Again, one day at a time.
Hi Cheryl - I hope your plans work out for the weekend. You have seemed really busy lately.
As for me: We went out for supper last night and they had yellow pea soup. It was so good! I don't normally eat that type of stuff, but I read up on it after I got home, and from what I can tell, it is very good for you! So, today I am attempting to make some. I am not a good cook, so I really hope it turns out. It is sad when you go to the café just to get a bowl of good soup. I am determined to start making more and more of these types of things, as soup is very filling I find. Also I have to work this weekend, because we have managers meetings all next week, so I have some stuff that needs to be prepared for those. But it is the weekend, and there shouldn't be a lot of interruptions, so I am looking forward to that! After that, I plan to spend a little bit of time organizing my office better, and I plan to go visit the neighbors; one tonight, and one tomorrow morning. I need to start socializing a bit more.
Exercise has not worked out. I am so stiff and sore right now. So, rather than having exercise as the goal right now, I think my first mini goal is going to be to lose 5 pounds, and have 1 week of happy thoughts. I refuse to let the negativity in right now.
Well, I had better run. Have a great weekend everyone!!
