Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a good Monday. The weather took a turn for the worse today and we've had more snow and very high winds which have made snowdrifts across the roads, sidewalks, and driveways. I shoveled out the front but it was already starting to blow back in by the time I finished. I'm leaving the driveway until morning since it's blowing so hard out there. Maybe the snow will quit before morning. Anyway I'll get a good workout in before work. My plans for the evening were cancelled due to the storm so that's one less meal out for me and I'm glad that I'm inside a warm house and not battling the storm on country roads in the dark. I used my new knives when I was making my dinner yesterday and holy smokes I'm a little afraid of them. I don't think I've ever used such sharp knives. They do slice through veggies and fish with ease but I'm going to have to be a lot more careful with them than I was with my old knives.
Hi Boston, Your Thanksgiving dinner sounds wonderful. I'm glad that you put a tree up for you Boston. Maybe your boys secretly enjoy the Christmas traditions but just aren't mature enough to admit it yet. My kids loved Christmas and all the traditions and they still do. My older son was very happy and excited to put up his first real (and big) Christmas tree last year in their new house. The apartments he lived in before that were just too small and crowded so he had always had a small tabletop tree. I wonder if my daughter will put up a big tree this year? She usually just has her small table top tree but I know she loves Christmas. I'm going to follow your example and put up a tree again this year. Last year was the first time I put up and decorated a tree "just for me" although I'm only talking abut a few years since my kids always used to come home for Christmas. Times change....
Have a super evening everyone. I'm going to stay warm and go to bed early.
