Hi everyone,

I got home around 10pm yesterday and overall I feel pretty good about the last couple of days. Our retreat was in a National Park so it was a really nice setting. We had some rain but it was sunny most of the time. It was warm enough to make do with a sweater although it was windy, mind you I'm talking about warm for Canada so it feels warm after parkas and toques maybe not warm for everyone. Thinking back I am really happy that I started working on this back in November. I was able to walk around, go up and down stairs, slide into booths, and relax and enjoy myself comfortably. I had no problems with breakfast and lunch where I could choose no butter, fresh fruit, half a sandwich and salads but the two evening meals were much higher in calorie than I usually eat. I did my best with my choices though so water under the bridge and I'm not going to worry about it. After our session ended yesterday I had the afternoon free. I drove to the city my bff lives in. I had a senior's denver omelette with whole wheat toast and tomato slices instead of potato. Surprisingly they don't put cheese in those omelettes, just a little sprinkle of shredded cheddar for a garnish on top and only a two egg omelette so that was a good choice. I bought some new tops and a nightgown, had tea with my friend, and we went out for dinner. I had tomato juice to start and then rice with seafood (shrimp, scallops, and a bit of lobster and steamed carrots), I didn't eat the bread, have wine, or have dessert. I was careful not to eat too much rice either so I think that dinner was surprisingly healthy since the seafood seemed to be steamed and there were only 3 each of the shrimp and scallops.

I am hoping that this is the weekend that I make a big dent in the housework. Ollie is at the kennel since I'm away most of next week so it will make cleaning easier.

Hi Kim, I am not nearly as active as I need to be but I am slowly getting stronger and developing more stamina. It sounds like you are very aware of what to do and how to get it done. Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Julie, It sounds like you have a busy weekend ahead of you. I have three things on my list - housework, grocery shoppjng, laundry, and I really need to finish pruning my hedge. Since I have the whole weekend it shouldn't be so rushed. Just need to get myself on track with the cleaning and keep at it. Enjoy your weekend.

Have a great day everyone.

Cheryl
