Hi everyone,

This was another cold but sunny day. I was freezing at home this evening when I realized that I had the heat turned up but the furnace was turned off. Jeepers! It should warm up about the time I go to bed. I followed my plan today with two exceptions. I forgot my orange at home and I had a glass of white wine with dinner. I try to estimate high so I counted 3 cups of Greek salad and I estimated the Chicken Gyro as 585 calories. It's a good thing I didn't eat the orange as it would have put me over my calorie budget. I find time and again that if I enjoy the food that I eat during the day I'm satisfied and don't think about food when it's not meal time. It was sure nice to see my friends again and catch up. Four of us golf together and the other two quilt and we go to quilt shows and shops together. Fortunately that time of year is coming up again so maybe we'll see more of one another. I finished one of my nagging jobs at work today and got some done on two other projects.

Hi Kim, I'm glad you can appreciate those happy memories of your dad. It's so hard to lose those we love. I like the WW program too and it aligns well with the Food Guide. One thing I particularly appreciate about it is the support. I didn't think that I could reach my goals on my own without the accountability piece but I have found the support here has helped me lose significant weight over the last two times I followed the food guide. I don't think I'm such a black and white thinker about weight loss anymore. I know that I can lose the weight and I trust myself to do so as I have in the past. Now I am searching for the tools to persist all the way to my goal and to find balance and maintain when things slow down or stop. Audiobooks is a good idea. I read on an iPad and borrow books from our Provincial public eLibrary. They have a lot of Audio Books.

Hi Nancy, I am almost afraid to start using my Fitbit because I know that I'm nowhere near 10000 steps but I hear it's motivating and that's why I bought it so I'd better get using it. Congratulations on getting your weight down over the last couple of years. That persistence has certainly paid off.

Hi Karen, it's nice to see you here.

Julie, I hope you had a good day.

Karrie and Boston, I hope we hear from you soon.

Have a good evening everyone.

Cheryl
