Hi Everyone!

Yes, I did go to see Anne Rice the other day. I must be a real book nerd, because once I decided to go I was so excited! I bought her newest book in hardcover (i usually wait for paperbacks) and had her sign it. I bought Erin a little leatherbound notebook to use for an autograph book and she signed that also. I am very glad that we went!

Kath - Her newest book is the Wolf Gift - you guessed it - a new series on wolfmen. I haven't started it yet. The first one I ever read by her was The Witching Hour, I think that is why her witch series is better to me also. But my absolute favorite is Cry To Heaven - it is about the Italian castrati. Incredibly moving and emotional story. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to read an exceptional book.

Boston - Do you make your own pizza crust? Homemade pizza sounds sooo good to me right now! I hope you son is feeling some better today.

Julie - There is nothing worse than car trouble! I live in a very small town and my car is broken down I am totally stranded! The really good thing is that there are 2 local mechanics that will come and get my car, fix it, and bring it back.

Day 2 is going well so far also. I am running out of groceries though and as I have mentioned previously, cooking isn't my strong point lol! I really struggle to plan my meals well. Erin is at her drama club meeting, so when I get off of here, I need to work on my grocery list. Has anyone tried quinoa? I made it for the first time yesterday and I though it turned out well. I added onion, garlic and black beans to give it some flavor because I'd heard that it was rather bland, It is supposed to be really good for you, so I wanted to try it. Curious, what are all of your favorite healthy, low-fat meals?

I'll check in again later...have a great night all!

Mary
