Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a great day.  I did a little better restraining my eating today.  NOT perfect.  I had a small slice of birthday cake at afternoon coffee and a chocolate bar after grocery shopping but I didn't binge on anything today.  I showered, did my dishes, made my bed and headed off to work after my usual oatmeal/yogurt/almonds/banana breakfast.  I picked up leftover Tuna Noodle casserole and a low cal choc pudding and had lunch with my friends (I had to do some work at that school after lunch.)  I went grocery shopping after work and actually cooked myself a meal (which is where the chocolate bar came into play while I was waiting for dinner to cook.)  I did my dishes and finished cleaning the last of the brussel sprouts after dinner.  I think that I can do a better job with my food tomorrow but the day is starting with a fundraiser  Pancake breakfast at the high school with my friends so tomorrow won't be perfect either.  Wednesday I have a meeting after work and it's pizza for dinner at the meeting so I will have my two slices and a diet cola and that day won't be perfect either!  Right about now I just want to get into a routine of eating three healthy meals each day.  I have not been cooking and it just gets me into all sorts of trouble.  I seem to be swinging wildly from working hard at getting my ducks in a row and just letting every go to h*ll in a hand basket!

It's Remembrance Day on Friday and we have the day off which means a three day weekend for me.  I plan to do housework and quilt and maybe do a bit of knitting and I guess that I'd better add cooking to my list too.  I am looking forward to a weekend with no yard work although there are some leaves on my parking pad that need bagged.  That area just catches and holds everything that the wind blows down the street.

Hi Karrie,  I had to smile when I read your comment about a new battery.  I think that's about where I'm at too and it's very discouraging - and frustrating.  Your temperatures sounds great.  Our snow didn't melt because it's too cold right now.  I could actually go out and shovel the steps and sidewalk, front and back, but I'm hoping the sun will do the job for me.  My workman was back again today and sanded and put a second coat of mud on the gyprock in the kitchen.  It looks so much better even without paint.  I can't believe how relieved I feel to see this work getting done.  I guess it was really bugging me.  He doesn't appear to have done anything outside and it doesn't look like my eaves trough guy was here to clean them out either.  Maybe later this week.  I'm sorry to hear that you're still stuck with family drama.  That must really be wearing you down after all this time. Did you get your collection in the new curio cabinet?

It's almost time for me to get ready for bed.  Have a great evening everyone.

We CAN do this!

Cheryl
