Hi Cheryl and Annie and Everyone!

Well I haven't seen this much snow come down at once in over 30 years. I went out and started shoveling yesterday morning, I got a maybe 2' x 2' square done in about 20 minutes, when a neighbor with a snowblower came by and then another neighbor with plow attached to his riding mower to help. Some spots of my driveway were halfway up my thighs! They had my driveway done in about 20 minutes. I think I would have been stuck here for weeks if they hadn't come by. It has now dropped to the single digits (not counting the wind chill). I haven't tried to drive anywhere and don't have plans to try. I live in a somewhat rural area - I can't get anywhere without driving the backroads - and I doubt they are all cleared yet. I live at the end of a block, right next to a cornfield and some of the drifts are 3 1/2' high. I kept going out while it was snowing to try to keep a path out the back door so I could get the dog out. That helped a lot. But now there is something wrong with the back door and I cannot even close it properly - it seems to be off track - and I cannot get it right. But it does look beautiful out there this morning - the sun is shining!

Boston - I hope your DH is feeling better today.

Cheryl - I know they are high in fat/calories, but nuts, seeds and raisins are all good for you. Do you have any of those little snack size bags? Try putting them in daily serving sizes, in small snack bags and label the bags by Mon, Tues, etc... Then allow yourself to enjoy them. When you are eating them, don't feel guilty - think about how good for you they are.

Annie - Eating mindfully, something I am very guilty of not doing. It is great advice.

Well, the schools closed early on Tues. and haven't re-opened yet. I don't know yet if they will open for tomorrow. My eating has only been so-so, but I will not beat myself up over it. Today, I need to do some paperwork and some more laundry. I will try to check in again later.... Have a great day all! Mary
