Wow, your post yesterday just blew me away as it sounded just like I could have written it about myself! It really helps to know I am not alone in my struggles to lose this weight and get healthier.
This is this weeks tip from the hospital weight loss program.
Eat Mindfully When you eat, do nothing else. Avoid watching television or staring at the computer while you eat a meal or snack. Don't eat on the run; instead, sit at the table and give yourself time to relax and savor the food. Place one serving of food on your plate and put the rest away before you begin eating. Chew each bite slowly and drink plenty of water with your meal. The practice of mindful eating is pleasurable and an important key to successful weight loss and maintenance.
I'm going to try to put this in practice beginning with my next meal as I usually have a book in front of me and read while I eat.

Boston, yesterday sounds like an extremely stressful day. I hope the medicine works and he gets well soon. You did good stopping the eating when you realized you were full. Sometimes if I'm on an emotional eating binge I will just keep stuffing it in until I am absolutely miserable and then I wonder if I will wake up in the morning after abusing myself that way. Not a good feeling!
