Hi everyone,

How lovely it is to be at the start of December.  Soon we'll begin a brand new year on our life journey.  Things are mostly under control at work (fingers crossed), I'm getting to bed on time - most of the time, I'm eating healthy, and I went for a walk this morning.  Exercise has been my weak spot for a while now but it sure felt good to get outside and breath in fresh air while I walked along the lake.  Somehow it's a lot more invigorating then shoveling snow.  My food challenges this week have gone better than expected.  Monday evening was cancelled due to a storm, Tuesday I followed my plan to eat half the chicken dish, no rice, and order steamed veggies on the side, today's lunch was surprisingly healthy and I chose the soup which wasn't creamed and only took half a sandwich which I chose based on how much fat/calories it had compared to the others (and no butter tarts!)  So now I'm down to Saturday when I'll be in the city shopping and attending a Christmas Craft Sale at the Art Gallery and I'm very hopeful that I can eat healthy while I'm there.  My previous post about exercise made me decide to just do my best to get it done each day.  I'm very hopeful that I can get outside early enough to walk tomorrow also.  At least that is the plan. I don't want to waste December.  Yes there are food challenges but I'm pretty practiced at passing on staff room food and desserts now (fingers crossed) and I do NOT want to waste an entire month that could get me so close to my onederland goal.  So I'm determined to keep working hard at forming healthy habits that will form the foundation of my healthy lifestyle.  I want to reach the new year with something I can be proud of to reflect on and renewed enthusiasm and goals for the upcoming year.  It is really surprising how much things change over a year.  In mid-February I will have been working on this for two years.  It's not TBL speed but the results are just as satisfying to me.

Hi Sandi,  I'm glad that you got to stay home a little longer.  Have a good trip tomorrow.  Having more time to yourself is probably helping you with your resolve to work on your health.  I find it's very difficult to concentrate on my health when I'm preoccupied with work and have no time in my schedule to focus on myself.  I have great hopes for the new year.

Hi Karrie,  You are a VERY optimistic person if you think you've had your fill of snow for the year! smiley: wink  but I can sure appreciate your wish that it was so.  How lovely for your sister that is going to be a grandma.  I hope your other sister gets some good news soon.

Hello to everyone else.  I hope YUKU isn't keeping you out of G2G!

Have a wonderful evening everyone.

We CAN do this!

Cheryl
