Hi Cheryl,
Hope you got a lot of shopping done yesterday. Have you always lived in that area? Those temps and the snow sound so extreme to me living in the south as I do. Our temps dropped into the 20's last night and my heat pump ran all night it seems like. What kind of heating system do you have to be able to heat in that cold of weather? I'm so glad you're not feeling as sad now. I sometimes think I suffer from SAD because I tend to get depressed in the winter when it's so cold and gets dark so early. I have to force myself to go anywhere besides straight home after work because it's dark. I sit bundled up out on my porch in the sun on the weekends when ever I can and that seems to help.
I work with a lady that sells Pampered Chef. I have to watch my $$ so I hardly ever buy anything from her but I did buy some bamboo tongs that I love. I think they were $6 or $7 and I use them all the time. She's really into it and makes all kind of recipes and brings it to work. Most of them are really simple but delicious.
I have to go back to work on Tuesday. I've had a really nice time being off work. I've decluttered a little, had everyone over for Thanksgiving, went shopping with my daughters and just in general enjoyed it. I've had some really good eating days and some that were not so good but I'm hoping when I weigh on Wednesday that I at least maintain.

Sandi, hope things improve with your supervisor this week. Maybe she was just having a bad day and it didn't have anything at all to do with you. I really think stress causes us to gain weight so you having the break and relaxing just took it right back off.
Boston, I hope your Thanksgiving meal on Saturday went well and that you didn't overdo it. Don't you just love getting together with family?
Karrie, hope your stomach is feeling better.
Lisa, is your diet the low carb? I believe it really works, I have done it myself to lose part of the weight I have lost so far but I am prone to have diverticulitis and I got to where I couldn't do it anymore because it caused flare ups and was very painful. Now I'm trying to be mindful of my carb intake and use brown rice, double fiber bread, etc but I am eating the "good" carbs. No diet or weight loss is worth wrecking our health, in my humble opinion. Hope you feel better soon.
Anni, has things worked out with you son? I have been thinking of you and hoping they have.
Julie, hope the cold is totally gone now and that you're feeling your perky self again. What kind of challenge are you thinking of? The weeks between now and Christmas would be a good time to start one.
My daughters are coming over for a coupon clipping session and I promised them lunch so I'd better get moving. Have a great day!
Annie
