Hello ladies! I'm definitely up for this challenge, too! What perfect timing - I logged in this morning all decked out in my walking clothes, just needing that extra push to get going, and exercise is the first weekly challenge! Since I haven't been exercising on a regular basis for several months, my focus is to get back into the daily habit...you're right, Julie, it makes all of the difference in the world! I am confident that after a few days, I will feel so much better and I'll remember why I loved it so much when it was a regular habit.

munch7, i like your goal for daily hypnosis/motivation...i am going to add daily visualization to my goal list. I have a CD I listen to each night. And prayer is so important, too...love it!
sunny 70s girl...I'm going to borrow your goal for sleep. I've been seeing a counselor for about a month now, and the area she suggested I focus on first when it comes to my health is sleep (she's also a registered nurse) - we were just talking about this last week and she encouraged me that I will be amazed at how much better I will feel once this becomes a regular habit. I've been trying to establish a nightly routine that includes journaling, prayer, and a relaxing cup of herbal tea to help me prepare for bed.

Here are my goals:
Hi Julie and Cheryl,

I am with you. I am up for this challenge.

1. I will do some form of exercise every day. (For the first week, I am going to focus on simply doing - not focus on distance just yet)
2. I will journal my food everyday (started WW again)
3. I will establish a daily routine that includes prayer, visualization, and journaling
4. I will get 7-8 hours of sleep each night.
5. I will post something on g2g each day - seriously, ladies, I have no excuse - my home internet and computer are fine, and I'm here pretty much everyday - it's just something that I need to make part of my daily routine.

My first reward will be...a trip to Bath and Body Works or a trip to Fashion Bug for a new top. (this may change - i haven't thought about it, much!)

Week One:
Nov. 2 Nothing like doing an exercise DVD to establish how out of shape I truly am! I started today with the Leslie Sansone DVD that got me going with my last successful run of weight loss about 2 years ago...and I choice to stop after 1 mile because my calves were killing me!! But my attitude is positive and hopeful, which is crucial for me. I truly believe and know that, even after only a few days of regular exercise, i will start to feel better, stronger, and capable of doing more. I'm hoping to do another mile when I'm home this evening.

Start weight (11/3): 340.4 Nov. 3
I walked a mile in the morning and got in my 7-8 hours of sleep. I journaled most of my food - I didn't go back and journal my evening meals, but made better choices. Nov. 4
I walked a mile in the morning. Nov. 5
I am SO proud of myself - I didn't walk in the morning, but instead walked 2 miles in the evening! Nov. 6
Exhausting, stressful day...I took the afternoon off (i'm making up the time on Saturday) and though an afternoon stroll in the sunshine would do me good, but fell asleep and napped instead - I think my body was telling me something! I am thinking that I may need to take one or two of my goals at a time lest I start beating myself up for things not done and miss all that I am accomplishing. So for the rest of the week my focus will be exercise and sleep. OH, and posting, of course!! But it's a start, and I'm proud of that start - I'm already beginning to feel better and good choices spur on more good choices - even though I'm not back into the habit of food journaling, I am making such better choices!
