Hello everyone,

I am at work now for 4 hours and don´t really have anything to do

We had so much fun at the Sprint-Triathlon this morning and it was not raining and hardly any wind (which is very seldom for Iceland and especially in that area as we biked right by the ocean). Torben won the Mens Competition and I got 4th from 9 women only 24 seconds behind 3rd place. She overtook me on the run after 1 mile and I just could not hold on and could not have run any faster. Well this was one of the very few races where I can say I did the best I could. Best swim time ever, very good bike time considering the very hilly (being heavy and hills do not go well together ) and one of the fastest run times in a TRI (it was only 1.55 miles run and I did it in 14:49 which is 9.5min/mile). Afterwards we sat in the Hot Pot in the pool for about 45 minutes and it was just awesome to relax and speak to the others Just a very fun morning!!

Motivation is still skyhigh and I did not even think about Candy yesterday. Big challenge will be coming up next months as I will be away from home almost the whole month. I need a plan!!

CINDY, well you know that you can't compare your weight before your 2 kids with that now and you are also just a tick older now than before but if you want then give it a try but realise in time if the fight might not be worth it Of course you are hungry all the time, no protein and no carbs you are getting.
I saw an interesting report in TV the other day where a elite Triathlete tried to only eat potatoes (potato chips, potatoes, mashed potatoes, french fries and so on) for 28 days. They tested his power and fitness level before and he was very fit. After 5 days he had to stop the experience as he had no energy to train anymore, lost 10lbs!! and his fitness level decreased by 30% just in those 5 days. Thats crazy. But this is what just eating one food group can do to you....
But for clensing purposes this is probably very nice what you are doing Glad that the divorce will be filed soon

KARRIE, sounds like you are not working for a change I can completely relate to what you wrote yesterday as I just had a similar conversation with my cleaning Lady yesterday. They are living with very little money and the problem is that her husband does not know how to handle money at all so often they have no money left in the middle of the month and somehow they need to make it to the end. They also owe a lot of money. I told her that it might be a good idea to make a list with all the expenses they have every month and then compare it with the income to see where it is possible to save some money and especially to see if they go deeper into debt every month. I even offered to help do it as I am not sure she had any idea what I am talking about. It´s just that we are the complete opposite of them and most Icelanders as we are savers. I would not buy anything and put it on my credit card without knowing that I can afford and I know exactly where every penny goes that we spent every month. I could not imagine not having enough money to live but because of the above we are fine. Sorry just needed to rant but wanted to say that I can relate

SANDY, nice to have you back How was Vegas?? Did you win something ?

"If I didn't have my life, I'd be jealous of whoever did!"

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't, and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
