Hi Bernie!

Thanks for your post on my challenge ... I was glad to see you're back from holiday and decided to join the challenge this time, also. I so very much appreciate our communication, you are a terrific encourager!

This past week was especially busy work-wise for me and with the added time needed to clear snow each morning, plus added travel time, it just seemed as though the hours and days have flown by and I'm left wondering it was that I've been doing all week? Where did the week go? It all seems a blurrr. :eek

While shoveling snow each morning ... I did say prayers for your family during this horrible fire season and hope you are doing as well as can be expected given the circumstances. I read this morning about the fires in the Canberra area both at cnn.com and the Canberra Times (I have a journalism degree so I do take advantage of the internet's access to news across the world!) and was just sickened to read how bad the situation has been: 4 folks killed, 530 homes distroyed, Mt Stromlo Observatory lost. Even the story about the Woden Animal Hospital's razing just really brought home how suddenly fire can distroy life and being an animal lover myself ... could not IMAGINE how difficult it must have been for the vet and staff to be forced to leave so many animals behind.

I read where this weekend's weather is dry, hot and windy again so everyone is braced for another flare-up .... certainly you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and sending you calm, cooler conditions and safe harbor ....

Blessings
Debbie
