Kate,

I think the trick to kick starting any plan is to set yourself up to achieve your goals, so therefore you have to do what you know will work for you.

I could almost bet that most of us here have managed to achieve weight loss temporarily - 10 or 20 lbs in one hit. But the trick is keeping it off and that is so tough. So, my tip would be that any plan you start out on must have good long term solutions, and if you're looking at meal plans, make sure they also follow up with a good maintenance plan. The trick really is to form habits that will last a life time - and I guess that's the tough bit ;) .

Living on a boat in Hong Kong sounds very exciting. Make sure you keep us posted on your progress.

PS: One final thought - what about WW at home via Australia? You could sign up over the internet ??? Might be possible, and cheaper too.
