Why do you think you ate that much? Because you are sick, did you wait until you were famished to eat? Have you had your water today? You know you weren't that hungry, right???

This is one of the behaviors you're trying to change. So think about why you may have indulged like you did then take steps to prepare for it the next time...because there will be a next time. ;) Sometimes it's good even to write it down.

Some things that work for me are the 10-minute rule and Anchoring.

Whatever you do, don't get so down on yourself. You're trying to change habits and behaviors that you've had for a long time, you're going to make mistakes.

You have already lost over 30 pounds.....you are doing very well. That is where your focus belongs.

As for other suggestions....perhaps you could make a place in your family's kitchen where 'your' food is...and perhaps a shelf in the fridge as well. Somewhere that you keep things just for you...or more importantly, where you keep OUT your red light foods. ;) Another idea is to actually prepare the meals for your family once or twice a week. I'm sure you are already serving as a wonderful example to your folks...this would make it even better! I've been at home throughout this entire journey and it's proven to be a blessing because I can take the time to think about and prepare healthy meals as well as to get my exercise in when I want to do it so don't let that scare you. :)
