I'm not technically a vegetarian, but I don't eat meat. I do eat seafood, eggs, and dairy. I really don't like meat, the idea of it, taste of it, etc.

I really like soy and soy products - they can be expensive, but by shopping around, I find the prices manageable.

At first my family wasn't sure how to deal with my eating habits, but over time (I haven't eaten meat since 1994), I think they've learned a lot from me. At least I hope so!

There is certainly no shortage of healthy protein available from non-meat sources. Karen, I imagine it would be pretty challenging to keep a vegetarian diet in your circumstances. Let us know if you decide to try again, and how it goes.
