Karen,

If you hate the texture of meat, and feel better not eating it, then your body could be telling you something.

I have met two people in my life that are allergic to chicken, one woman allergic to all animal products, and a friend allergic to fish (not shellfish, which is common). People associate all vegetarians as Birkenstock-wearing picnic-table-eaters...and this isn't the case. You could just be sensitive to eating meat.

The friend allergic to animal products, spent the first 20 yrs of her life being forced to eat it, because "it's good for you", and felt ill all the time.

Not good.
